No it's not marijuana legalization, get off my blog you stoners. jk. I love stoners, feel free to peruse the blog.
No this week's article is going to focus on Immigration enforcement. Here's a quick link to the article I have in mind: http://www.slate.com/id/2192393/.
After reading through it a couple of times, I've come to the conclusion that it isn't anything abnormal given the situation. A delicate relocation program with inconsistent government control, throw in some on-edge stick happy cops and you've got the formula behind "Operation Return to Sender". Who the fuck comes up with these names?
Anyways the majority of the article focuses on the abuse the ICE officers (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) are belaying on the illegal immigrants. The article goes on to mention how the entire stock of deportable immigrants are not properly registered (most of them aren't even registered), and so most illegal immigrants don't know that the government is seeking to throw them out of the country.
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but when was the last time you've done something illegal 9or just bad, it doesn't even have to be illegal) without knowing the consequences? In my professional (GED professional) opinion these immigrants should already know that there is a chance that ICE (or some other group, they probably don't know about ICE) is out to bust them. So it isn't like ICE is doing something uncommonly vulgar. They've probably been doing this for years, and now the media is picking up and reporting it for a quick buck.
So what I want the readers to consider is why is it taking the Department of Homeland Security so damn long to get these deportation programs put together? Is it because the files aren't filled in? Is it because they don't have the government hounding their asses day in and day out? No, I think the answer is simple, it's man simply trying to take the best course of action in a confusing situation.
And as for anyone who is angered after reading my two cents, remember this I don't give a fuck. If you don't like the outcome, then don't play the game. If you have to leave your country because the country's rich is screwing you, take a page out of the French game plan. If the single handed dictator is kicking ass and chewing gum, he's gonna run out of gum sooner or later. Do what you will to survive, just don't bring us into it.
